Forefinger and middle finger forming a "V" again, rotated back and forth, this time symbolises 2 - the two of us as in "From me to you"

V-Owners Group (VOG)
What VOG is:
VOG is founded on Christian precepts identified in the Apostles Creed as read by universal Holy Christian Churches.
We believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of Heaven and Earth; And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into Heaven, and sits on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from there He shall come to judge the living and the dead. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

Being a committed Christian is not a condition of enrollment in VOG, nor is membership confined to or exclusive to practicing Christians and whether God fearing or not so persuaded, biker’s of any creed, culture or ethnic group may enroll and thus join hands in fellowship with VOG.
Our ministry is the extending of an open hand of brotherhood / sisterhood, in spite of our different backgrounds. Drawn initially thru the gift of ownership, we can now as adult biker’s and by the Grace of God find each other peacefully and coexist in our passion for biking.
VOG as a group brings together mature owners of big vee engined machines nationally, (International memberships are available) or wherever such owners exist, to share common interest, enjoy occasional group outings (see below) & provide a group structure & service that would benefit owners in the reasonable maintenance of their motorcycles. VOG is constantly seeking concessions from suppliers to benefit the owner of a big vee machine. Membership in VOG adds value to ownership by creating a corporate family of owners nationally, where common interest abounds. Communication is optimised through an internet website, emails, and bulk SMS service.
To enroll in VOG you must be the proven owner of a vee engined motorcycle.
V-Twin and V-Four engines are the prime-movers of some of the greatest motorcycles ever built, they are respected, admired and cherished world-wide. The V Twins were perfected from a V Twin design created by inventors such as Gottlieb Daimler who designed his vee engine in 1889.
The V Twin was originally designed to replace the single cylindered engine in the motorised bicycle, mounted inside the “V” frame above the large cog (pedals / gear). It was restricted to a V Twin rather than an "in-line" engine, so as not to exceed the width of the single cylinder it superseded.
What VOG is not!
It is not a local weekend biking club, cannot provide that activity and is not in any way so structured, nor attempts in any manner or form, to compete for that format of membership. VOG is an Owner's Group made up of national / international members who support the oneness of Big Vee ownership.
VOG Rides & Excursions:
VOG has regular run days in Gauteng and Cape Town, which are mostly breakfast / brunch runs but at times these may become a family fun day at a favoured venue, a bring 'n braai day, or take the form of a bash. All these occasions are advertised on our website so that members are kept up to date. VOG does close over certain periods such as some school holiday's when families are otherwise committed.
Tours and Challenges:
VOG Annual Tours:
Annual tours are not a commitment made to the membership but there are occasions when we embark on a planned group tour. These are all inclusive adventures encompassing accommodation and routes to be travelled over a specific period. Watch the website for notices in this regard
VOG Star Challenges:
These are only for members and their nominated pillion rider (if applicable) who enjoy touring and long distance riding and an official VOG Star challenge provides either a destination or a route that is to be followed.
These are neither races nor endurance feats but instead a means to providing opportunity to add value to motorcycle ownership. A star challenge is designed to bring personal fulfilment in having successfully completed a set course. There are no prestigious honours, badges or patches (add-ons) made or allowed, except the VOG official award, for the principal member / pillion, in harmony with VOG’s culture, that every member is equal in all things. That means there is no winner or loser, first or last, best or least, greater or smaller contender.
The VOG challenges are varied to suit differing interests, there is the “4 Point Star” - visiting South Africa’s four most extreme compass points by road, the "9 Provinces Star" - following a route from wherever you are, thru the 9 provinces of South Africa and back home, the “Lighthouse Star” - visiting certain nominated sites of the 48 lighthouses along the coastline, St Lucia to Port Nolloth, then the “12 Apostle Star” - riding 12 Western Cape mountain passes over two days with a night stop en route, then a “Battlefields Star” – visiting the battlefields of the country, then perhaps a “Fossil Star”(still under review) – to visit fossil sites in the country and so on. More will be added after the proposed challenge is fully evaluated and tested. The originator will be credited with the submission but have no rights over the execution of the challenge ongoing.
Applying for membership:
You may apply for membership through this website. In fact, why not do so right now! Our application forms are not to be found on this website - so to initiate the enrollment process, please email us at and include the following information in your message:
a) Your Full Name. b) Your location - where you reside. c) The details of your motorcycle - confirming it is a Vee - powered machine. d) Your date of birth. e) Your mobile (cellular phone) number
Once we receive the message, if eligible, we shall reply with the necessary forms and the process will quickly be finalised.
Of special note, is the fact that membership as an owner entitles you to all and any benefits that VOG can extend at any time now and in the future. It does not compel you as an individual, to take an active part in the group, nor obligate you to interact with members in an Area Cell, nor participate in any VOG rides or runs that are arranged at any time by any Area Cell.
In VOG - NO OBLIGATION IS IMPOSED on members - thusallowing persons to live their biking experience as they wish as an individual, provided that freedom is singularly practised and not used to create a group of riders within a recognised VOG Area Cell.
VOG Membership constitution requires the following commitment:
As a member of VOG I promise to conduct myself in a manner that will heighten the respect of the general public towards motor cyclists, and especially so, the V Owners Group. I promise to maintain my motorcycle to better than minimal roadworthy expectations and always present my motorcycle with pride (clean / polished / free of road dirt / oil-leaks / missing parts / smooth tyres etc) I promise not to show intolerance to persons of other race / gender / language / creed, religion or culture and will make every effort to demonstrate good example by my actions and speech, and so be a credit to other motorcyclists and the VOG at all times. I promise to distribute VOG Intro-cards to all local bike shops in my location and promote VOG and group membership to all eligible Vee Engined Owners. I promise to contribute to building a strong base for camaraderie and good will.
