Gauteng's "Adler's Tap & Grill Brunch Run"


VOG Gauteng invites all members to attend the end-of-year Brunch Run on Saturday 4th December to Adler's Tap & Grill - located at the Heidelberg Railway Heritage Museum in Voortrekker Street (26°30'25.6"S 28°22'01.4"E).



We are going to be seated in the rather interesting banqueting hall as per the photograph above - right in front of the buffet area and surrounded by VOG member Vendi Klaushofer's interesting memorabilia collection.


Each person/ family will settle their own account. A buffet meal is on offer, but there is a kiddie's menu available as well, should the youngsters not be keen on the big meal.


On offer is the a 3-course German-style buffet, consisting of the following scrumptious options, with all drinks added to your account:


Now for the GOOD NEWS - this the discounted pricing on offer to VOG and guests per person:

  • Adults (R150),

  • Children 5-12 (R70)

  • Children 0-5 (free)

BUT WAIT - THERE'S MORE!! Vendi says that every paid-up member that attends this brunch run will enjoy the following further bonus discount:

  • Member alone = R100 off the meal!!

  • Member plus 1 = R200 off the meal!!!

Don't forget the Craft Beer brewery just adjacent to Adler's - where you can enjoy a great selection of home-grown beers on tap. Railway history abounds and a children's play area is within eyesight.






Zebra Point:


Area communities will gather at the Zebra point for a SATURDAY MORNING group ride - being the regular R59 Michelle Ave Sasol garage, where we will depart at 10am for the formation ride of 63 km to Heidelberg via the scenic route adjacent to the Suikerbosrand Nature Reserve. We should arrive at the venue by about 10:45am.

Your RSVP is required and should include the following vital information please – by Wednesday 1st December PLEASE! This is required for seating, catering and planning of a safe and enjoyable ride.

Your RSVP must include: The number of bikes, the number of cages, the number of persons, the number of meals, the Area Cell where you will meet and most importantly - GIVE YOUR FULL NAME please! (See example below).

RSVP example: 1 bike, 1 cage, 4 heads, 3 adult buffets, 2 children, ER, Joe Biker.

You may RSVP now on vogrsvp@worldonline.co.za via e-mail or wait until you receive your bulk SMS on Friday morning giving ETD times and meeting points for the run. Please do not RSVP more than once, unless your details have changed since doing so the first time! Also, please do not RSVP to any other number you may have. When you receive the bulk SMS, by simply pressing "reply" and adding your message, it will be retained in the system and carried to the correct address.
